Wesley Jerome Strong left this earthly realm peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 61 years old. Beloved husband of Bonnie Senentz Strong for 40 years. Loving father of Asia Strong. Brother of Phyllis Loyce Morris (Ronnie), Yvonne Marie Gilly, Bernice "Bitzy" Barbot (Patrick), and Pamela Vaughn. Son of the late Yvonne "Bunny" and Philip Strong Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Wes was a native of Rantoul, Illinois and longtime resident of the New Orleans area. Wesley Jerome Strong left this earthly realm peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 61 years old. Beloved husband of Bonnie Senentz Strong for 40 years. Son of the late Yvonne "Bunny" and Philip Strong Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Wes was a native of Rantoul, Illinois and longtime resident of the New Orleans area. Proud founder and owner of Strong Loss Control & Consulting, Maison des Lunes Bed and Breakfast, and Rare Form Restaurant and Bar. His loves include his many rescue pets, dancing, family gatherings, boisterous laughter, nature, fishing, and of course, the Saints. Wesley Strong is a powerful, passionate soul beaming with love and life. His vibrant energy lives on in us all. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Jerusalem Shriners or The American Cancer Society are preferred. A memorial service will be held for Wesley Strong Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:30 pm at The New Canal Lighthouse, 8001 Lakeshore Drive, next to Landry's Seafood. A celebration of life to follow at Rare Form, 437 Esplanade Avenue, with a Second Line parade at 5:00, followed by the regularly scheduled music of Justin Donovan.
