Gerard "Jerry" Virgadamo of Metairie departed this life on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the age of 57. Beloved son of Patricia Helwig Virgadamo and the late Carmelo "Emile" Virgadamo; Brother of Emile Virgadamo (Janice), Barbara Beben (Michael), Rodney Virgadamo, and the late infant Francis Xavier Virgadamo; Cherished Uncle of Dominic Beben, Elizabeth Politz, Jeffrey Beben, Jessica Virgadamo, and Emily Virgadamo. He was an avid drag racing and Saints fan; driver of many unique vehicles including his party bus, pink Cadillacs, and Saints car; member of Racers for Christ, and loved by all he met. He had a special love for handicapped children, especially for his godchild "Little Donald" Picou. Special thanks to Craig, Cory, Kirk, and Gregory who attended to him during his last heart attacks. If life threatened to pass him by, Jerry challenged it to a race. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Magnolia Community Services, 100 Central Ave, Jefferson, LA 70121. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, December 3, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Louis King of France Church. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM.
