Ethylena "Bip" Leger, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Nolan J. Leger, Sr. for over 60 wonderful years. Loving mother of Cheryl Diamond (Ricky), Deborah Soileau (Randy) and Nolan J. Leger, Jr. (Cody). Proud grandmother of Thomas Diamond, Kayla Cyrier, Sarah Leger, Elizabeth Diamond, Abigail Leger, Aaron Diamond and the late Austin Leger. Great grandmother of Colten and Cameryn Diamond, Emorie and Cam Cyrier. Sister of Gracio DeSalvo (Bernie) and Josie Nagel (Joe) and sister in-law of Leatrice Leger and the late Marilyn DeSalvo. Bip was a member of the AARP Lakeshore chapter 3902. Bip was happiest cooking for her family, meatball and spaghetti, and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved spending time with her adoring husband at the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to the entire ICU staff at Ochsner Foundation Medical Center.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747
Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of service. Interment will take place in Hope Mausoleum.
