Arcade Joseph Riche, passed away at Magnolia Assisted Living Center in Gonzales, LA on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 8:20 PM. He was a former resident of Metairie, LA . He was better known as A.J. or Juice to family and friends. A.J. is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie Dozert Riche; his sisters, Barbara R. Breaux and Carol L. Guidry, Judy R. Marble and brother-in-law Ronald Marble and niece Donna; his nieces Rhonda Picou of N.Y., N.Y., Karen Picou and her husband David of Baton Rouge, LA and their daughter Genna Picou;...

Arcade Joseph Riche, passed away at Magnolia Assisted Living Center in Gonzales, LA on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 8:20 PM. He was a former resident of Metairie, LA . He was better known as A.J. or Juice to family and friends. A.J. is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie Dozert Riche; his sisters, Barbara R. Breaux and Carol L. Guidry, Judy R. Marble and brother-in-law Ronald Marble and niece Donna; his nieces Rhonda Picou of N.Y., N.Y., Karen Picou and her husband David of Baton Rouge, LA and their daughter Genna Picou; his nephew, Randal Breaux and his wife Dianne M. Breaux and their daughters Ceceli and Adeline Breaux of Arizona; and brother, nieces and nephews on his wife's side; Albert Dozert, Sr. and his wife Paulette Rosser Dozert, Albert L. Dozert, Jr. and his wife Caroline "Lina" Dozert' Christopher N. Dozert and his wife Kathy H. Dozert, Kathy Lee Dozert Futhey and husband Bill Futhey and Jeffrey Allen Dozert (his favorite cat hunter). A.J. was born on November 30, 1933 to Louise Weber Riche and Arcade Michel Riche. His mother was from Killona, LA and his father was from Plaucheville, LA. A.J. went to school at St. Francis De Salles and got his diploma from East Jefferson High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by LP&L now Entergy and retired after 29 years. A.J. and Billie want to thank our former doctors, Magnolia Assisted Living Center and staff who held us together all the way, Amedisys Hospice, their nurses and full staff for being with us and always there when we needed them, Med-Pass who sent their ice cream angels to give him his medicine in ice cream. A.J. loved them. A special thanks to family and especially my guardian angel, you know who you are, thanks to Michael for the beautiful hymn he sang to A.J. and thanks to Irene, Laverne and Shirleen who were like family and to everyone for prayers and thanks to pall bearers Albert L. Dozert, Sr. (Honorary), Tommy Loveless, Albert L. Dozert, Jr., Albert L. Dozert, III, Christopher N. Dozert, Ryan Johnston, Mitchell Johnston, Jr. and Jeffrey Allen Dozert. With all my love, Billie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home's Chapel.
